I love my N80 but I voted for the N95 because that will be my next phone.
I am a little bit surprised too looking at the result. It seems Nokia E61/E62 is the most popular S60 phones. I was expecting Nokia N80 or N95 to be the most popular one.
When I bought my N80 a few weeks ago, the salesman tried to convince me to get an E61 as he said everyone was liking them more and that they were much more popular. Does anyone have any idea why? Is it the keypad text entry? Why is the E61 essentially twice as popular as the N80?
If I may be allowed to make some simple assumptions; The poll may be slightly more influenced by our American friends (Antony, I don't know if you can actually confirm this). Nokia does not have as strong a presence there as they do in Europe or Asia. Users there may feel more comfortable with the E-Series given its remarkably similar outlook to the Palm Treo, the market leader in America.
Also, the E-Series is targetted towards the business user, a consumer base that tends to be slightly more tech savvy than your average man on the street. They would tend to rely more on the connectivity aspects of the device (e-mails, net browsing etc. ) Hence it's popularity.
